Photo Of the Week – December 16, 2025

I went with some friends to one of the big Christkindlmarkts in the area. It was on our calendar for weeks, and everything seemed to be on track – until the forecast predicted snow all day!
After much debate back and forth in the group chat, we made the decision to “plow” ahead (hehe), driving 20mph below the highway speed limit. The adventure was worth it to us, and regardless of what happened, we knew we’d have a great story to tell afterwards. And we made it! It was freezing and uncomfortable, certainly, but the persistent snowfall enveloping the festivities entranced us. We saw German cuckoo clocks, ate bratwurst with sauerkraut, and sipped on Belgian hot chocolate. The whole experience was truly magical! You can view the rest of my images here:

HUGE shoutout to Hayden, the one with the red beard, for driving us to and fro! He was cautious and joyful the whole way, and we appreciate his driving skills very much.

Now if only we could have beautiful weather like this on Christmas Day! Wouldn’t that be a sight 🙂
