I finally went to the farmer’s market in Bloomington! It’s a small but mighty corner of town where many vendors set up shop to offer fruits, vegetables, flowers, honey, meat, and other locally cultivated foodstuffs. People from all origins gathered to see the offerings; it was such a joy to see the community thrive in this way. More than a few items caught my eye, but it’s a cash-only system, which I forgetfully left behind. Still, the market opens often enough that I don’t feel like I lost out. And actually, I’ve been working to be more intentional about the food I eat, so the farmer’s market hasn’t seen the last of me!
