We visited Nashville this weekend for my girlfriend’s birthday! It was a short trip, but we packed in so many memories. I love the unashamed attachment to country music culture there – it adds a real charm that makes the city stand out. We basically curated a food tour for ourselves, trying out a series of good restaurants (and coffee shops) across town. So fun! I would love to visit again in the fall when it’s cooler and a little less touristy. Or maybe it gets even more crowded in the fall? I’m not sure, but this certainly isn’t the last time we’re going!

The cherry on top was a visit to Crystal Onyx Cave along the way. It’s an independently-owned cave system really close to Mammoth Cave in Kentucky. By luck, the day we visited happened to be their 60th anniversary, so we received a cave tour at a steep discount! Now that place really left an impression on me; not just for the beauty of the cave, but for all the weird statues and knick-knacks we found all around the place. It was a charming experience!
