It snowed again! And apparently there’s even more on the way. I’m really trying to be grateful for the pretty weather, but at this point it’s hard to shake off (literally) the annoyance of snow and ice blanketing the county. I had my fun; no more I say!

The image here puts on display a few centerpieces of the warm summer life – sports, outdoor seating, walking – that receive so little attention in the dead of winter. The basketball goal remains empty, the bench seats only snow, and in the background stands a lonely disc golf basket. During the cold winter months, they sit still, as if waiting for their turn once again. They must relate to the hammock still unopened in my car, yearning for the season to be put to use!
