Now that the exciting part of winter is over, I’ve been impatient for warmer, more “social” weather. You know, the kind of temperature and sunshine that compels one to make plans for barbecues, yard games, and hangouts! Winter has its place, and I’m beyond grateful to have a season dedicated to blankets and cocoa, but my yearning for summer swells.

This photo was taken last July at a dear friend’s farmhouse, and I feel it captures the essence of that day: friendship, camaraderie, and laughter. Now if only these moments could be bottled up and stored on the top shelf, but I suppose a photograph will have to do 🙂
