What a blast this weekend was! Got more snow, attended a few events, met up with old and new friends – definitely a hallmark weekend for 2025, and it’s only the second one! One of my closest friends (pictured) flew over from South Carolina for a few days and we got up to all kinds of stuff. He was mesmerized by the amount of snow that covered everything, and we nearly got stuck a few times as we explored the town. And of course, I got a ton of photos capturing much of it! One thing many people get caught up with in the photography community is whether equipment is weather-resistant. And gorgeous snowfall like this is exactly why I spring for cameras that resist precipitation! This passion isn’t as exhilarating when I have to wait for comfortable weather to make images. Exploring in adverse conditions only makes it more dramatic after all, and of course allows for more memories (and photos) to be made.
