I was catching up with a friend this weekend and snapped this photo of him while we walked through a park (at 6pm!!). And to me, it captures the feeling of the onset of winter. A lone subject is surrounded by darkness in an empty space, and it evokes a longing for summer when this park buzzed with activity. It almost makes me ache for the “good old days” when everything once seemed so happy – even though I actually don’t feel that way.
Practically speaking, this is a good reminder to make sure you’re getting vitamin D so the lack of sunlight won’t make you feel as crummy!
