I went to a block party on Saturday! It was a pretty simple set up organized by a local radio station. Local artists played on stage and local vendors manned booths on the street. It almost felt like a family gathering or a company party, but there was a bit of a disconnect since I didn’t really know anyone there. But the food was good and the music was good! I convinced some friends to go as well, and that’s what you see here in this photo.

This event was yet another occasion where I happened to see it in the town’s event calendar, and I simply decided to go check it out. I’m really enjoying this phase of my life that feels like I’m leaning into my curious side, that I am putting in the effort to explore and to seek out the unknown, just to experience more of this world. In a way, it’s a refreshing change from how my habits have been in past years. I’m eager for this trend to continue – “get busy living or get busy dying,” as they say.
