What a storm last night! I didn’t expect to see such a magnificent display of nature before I went to bed, even though I saw the thunderstorm warnings that popped up in the weather apps.

It was a stroke of serendipity that I laid down for a nap right after work, which allowed me to be awake to watch the thunderclouds pass around 1am. I don’t recall the last time, if ever, I had personally seen so much lightning in such a short span of time. The myriad of flashes per second seemed like a stadium concert just inside the clouds, with forks of lightning occasionally spilling into the sky. The “performance” last night was remarkable and I was so glad I got to experience it!
